Crane had been privately marveling at his unexpected good fortune. Not only had he gotten through the latest port alive, he'd also managed to survive it relatively in unharmed. While it was in no small part due to Eames and perhaps Dawsey, Crane still felt that it was something of an achievement. He didn't take any particular notice of Iago, who didn't seem to be taking any particular interest in Crane himself.

He opened the door to his room. Iago seemed to come from nowhere, shoving the door open, taking Crane with it. It took Crane a second to get over his shock. He stepped back towards his desk, preparing to grab the penknife that was in the draw.

"Again, Iago? Really?" Crane said. For the moment, he was painfully aware that he had to distract Iago. There was no chance of winning an outright fight with him.

Iago just laughed, shutting the door behind him. He appeared to be quite unperturbed by the whole situation. As if this was something that happened quite frequently.

"I told you last time, didn't I? I told you that you would regret crossing me. You didn't keep your mouth shut, did you?" He took a lazy step forward. "So, really, this is your own fault."

Crane just gave Iago a look, while he opened the draw of his desk and gripped the handle of the knife. He drew it out, not bothering to hide it as he flicked it open.

"I'm going to say it again. Really, Iago?" Crane said, keeping his voice flat. He reached into his pocket, drawing out his journal with his free hand. It seemed like a good time to attempt to send Eames a message.

Iago glanced down to the knife and then up to Crane. "Well, I was just going to snap your neck and make it very, very fast. Now you're just going to make me draw it out, aren't you?" He stance changed a bit. He wasn't afraid, as Iago really didn't know how to be properly afraid, but he was ready for a fight. His muscles tensed up and he ignored the journal for the moment, focusing in on the knife instead.

He reached forward to grab his wrist, making sure to keep his body away from him. He was betting, of course, that Crane had no training in how exactly to use that.
