Arthur came to from a dreamless sleep, not afflicted by any of the usual grogginess of waking up. Somnacin was good for that-- knocked you out, woke you up without any fuzziness, so you could easily get up and away from a crime scene.
Only now... Arthur didn't have any of his bearings. Where the hell was he, and what happened? He sat up, furrowing his brow, and reached for his gun.
Once he saw Parker, he left the gun in its holster and relaxed. "Thanks," he murmured distractedly, still looking around. Then, he fixed her with a confused look. "How did I end up here? Did we..."
That made her snort. She couldn't help it. Her eyes rolled as well. "Sweetie, if we'd had sex you'd remember it." And he would, damn it. "I found you passed out in the hallway and thought it was a better idea to leave you here than out there so no one found your gun."
Point earned him a smirking nod and Parker watched as he stretched out. It was weird that she found him in the hallway, but no more weird than anything else that was happening right now. Someone bumping their head and passing out? Wouldn't surprise her.
"Yep," Parker agreed in a miserable tone and she held up her hands with the bandages on them. "And it's going to keep getting fucking weirder."
"Let me guess: run in with the toaster," he offered, grim amusement in his voice. He reached for his communicator, then stopped himself. "How long have I been out? Have there been any updates, any plans?"

When he reached for his gun, Parker's fingers instinctively moved towards the one at her back. It wasn't personal, just in case.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." She announced quickly, but she didn't pull the gun on him yet.

...
The sedative.
Shit. How did he even...?
He rubbed his forehead and shook his head.
"This has been such a weird day."

And she wanted too, just not Sunshine.
"Not that I know of. I know it was Copbot trying to talk her down. So far it doesn't seem to be doing a god damn thing."
