When she walked into the pub doors, it was with a tentative smile, and she held her items in front of her like a shield. Howie's words were having a lingering effect on her, and she was worried that Sveta and Una were really livid with her, and that's why she hadn't heard from either of them.
Right now, she just wanted to celebrate, and to have people be happy for her and them.

When she saw Martha arrive, she waited a bit before gathering her courage and walking over, drink in hand. "Hey! You look good," she said with a smile.

Martha'd actually dressed up for this, going through a bit of trouble so that people didn't see the late night she'd had on her. "Thanks! You look good too. I'm glad you decided to come."
She... hadn't thought Sveta would, really.

"Are you sure you're ready for all this?" She waved a hand at the party.

"It seems like people needed a party. Like I do, I guess." Martha took a step towards her friend, and she hugged her quickly. "I love you, you know, and would never intentionally hurt you."

"I don't want to talk about it anymore, okay?" She put a hand on Martha's arm. "You need to go and enjoy your party."
