Bourne had made a promise. Four days. And it was nearing the end of the fourth. He'd agreed to hand over his rat-formed inmate to Costigan for caretaking in David's own room to minimize casualties and exposure.
So he moved the rat. Carefully. Claire had healed the wounds caused by his biting but it had still hurt enough for Bourne not to try that again if he didn't have to. He took no chances and brought the whole cage. It had to be a bit distressing, and he wasn't sure what to say on the way down.
He let himself into David's room, set the cage down, and waited.
