Who: Jonathan Crane, Hayley Stark
When: In the evening after the flood end.
Where: Crane's cabin.
What: Hayley finally admits she kind of almost misses Crane as a friend.
Warnings: None.

Hayley was standing outside Crane's door for minutes at least. It was like when she'd been waiting outside of Marco's, but it was worse because she had a good hunch she knew what his reaction would be. Hayley Stark was, perhaps for the first time, admitting utter fault in her treatment of someone else and apologizing for it. Between her conversations with Bruce and Cooper, even knowing what Capa, Rex, and others felt, Hayley had come to realize that she sincerely missed having Crane as a friend. And really, Bruce was right; he listened to her more than most and that had a better chance of helping him than anything else she could do.

After a few more long moments, the girl returned Harvey's coin to her pocket, knocked the red hood off of her head, and then lifted a hand to knock at the door. Half of the muscles in her body were tense and she waited anxiously.

As soon as the door had opened and she caught sight of Crane, she blurted out the words she didn't really want to say but knew she needed to. Before he could speak. "I'm sorry."
