Out for a walk this morning; she's normally in the CES around this time, but today she seems to be avoiding it.

[Arthas is leaning against the railing, looking down, still and silent as a statue. The instant Sarah comes within line of sight of him, his head snaps around to stare. There's something wrong behind his eyes. Lights are out.]

You're hers, aren't you? Amanda Young's.

[Sarah looks somewhat startled by Arthas; she's seen him around, but never really spoken with him. Mostly because he's creepy. She slows, making sure to stay well enough away from the rail. She doesn't care to have someone try and pitch her over the side.]

She's my inmate, yes. Arthas, right?

Close enough.

[Which part that was a reply to remains to be seen. His expression is a marble mask of calm.]

You'll need your eyes.

Breakfast whattheytellyou May 31 2011, 00:34:28 UTC
She has a tray with her usual on it - coffee, whatever's being served, and some bread - and is looking around for someone she knows, because she doesn't particularly feel up to eating alone.

Eddie's sat at a table, eating a bacon sandwich, as he had to have bacon when it was available, and looking remarkably pleased with himself. He spots Sarah, and offers her a smile and a wave.

Sarah falters, seeing Eddie. He's a nice kid, but he strikes her as both very dedicated and very naive. But she was looking for company, and he is companionable.

She smiles and approaches his table.

"Morning, Eddie."

He grins a little, not having noticed her falter, and replies easily, "Morning. How are you?"

He takes a bite of his sandwich, clearly in a very good mood himself.

Mid-morning - Sarah's Room whattheytellyou May 31 2011, 00:36:47 UTC
Sarah's in her room (which is remarkably dormitory-style, considering she's a warden) with the door open, which isn't unusual. She's seated on her bed, reading a book she found in the library a week or so ago.

She's not a fan of the gym unless someone's with her, but today she's using one of the treadmills. There's a book open in front of her, propped on the display panel.

She skipped lunch today, which is extremely abnormal for her.

As himself, David had no use for the gym. As Bourne, he can't get enough of it. His warden's body is amazingly fit. It's like his jaguar morph, distilled into human form. He's been coming to the gym regularly since he began masquerading as Bourne, for no other reason than to push his excellent new morph to his limits.

And, what have we here? Someone's already here. He has to suppress a laugh when he sees who it is. He mounts the treadmill next to Sarah's and sets it on the highest setting without hesitation.

"You're... Sarah Harding, right?" He scoured Bourne's journal first thing, so he knows that he hasn't talked much to Sarah before. He's not too worried about saying something out of character.

Instead of trying to make an escape for her room, she's looking around, once again, for someone she knows. Anyone, really.

Narvin is having one of his infrequent meals, picking at the human food unenthusiastically. He's avoiding the meat entirely, partly because he's afraid that, after that last flood, if he tried it he might find that he actually likes it.

Sarah spots Narvin and, with a glance around, decides to see if he wants some company. He looks to be in about the same mood as she is, if the way he's picking at his food is any indication.

"Mind if I join you?"

He looks up, grateful for the distraction. If he spends too much time thinking about what he's eating--flesh and dirt-grown plants and animal by-products--it's that much harder for him to eat it. That his flood-self had no such qualms somehow makes it worse.

"Feel free." He gestures to the seat across from him.
