A Flood in the Life...

May 26, 2011 17:04

Who: Dracula and YOU
What: Tormenting dreams and their bloody aftermath make for a moody, wounded but very introspective vampire.
Where: All over! See below.
When: Duration of the Flood
Warnings: torture (discussed), bloodthirst, possible mild violence

Dracula is having one Hell of a week. The Impaler gets a potent dose of comeuppance, in the form of horrible and physically damaging dreams. As he walks around, he will be coping with this plus the aftermath of the Breach, and will not be in a good mood. Expect glowy eyes, growliness, feeding temptation and lots of brooding.

On Day One, Dracula wakes from dreams of having the tortures he inflicted during his mortal life turned back on him. This will include his old favorite: vertical impalement. For those who are not familiar, this is impalement through the body on a big, sharpened pole, using…available orifices. The victim was then hoisted upright and left to slowly slide down. Depending on what organs got pierced it could take days to die. He will go through this a few times in his dreams, along with beatings, burnings, forced labor, etc. He will then wake up and have to recover from some fairly horrific wounds. The need for blood will drive him out of his isolation at mealtimes.

On Day Two, he will wake from experiencing the tortures he inflicted on others during his immortal life, most specifically being put in Frankenstein’s Machine, as he did to Anna’s father and brother. He will be suffering from a common side effect of electroshock: confusion and disorientation, as well as severe burns which he will have to heal. Once again, he’ll be out of isolation at mealtimes due to thirst.

On Day Three, he will wake from experiencing the deaths of his Brides and Court again. He feels it in a very real, traumatic sense when he loses one of his Blood, so he will have the experience of them ripped away over and over again. The twist is that the dreams will also make it clear how his decisions, and his recklessness with the unlives of those he should have protected, helped lead to their deaths.
