Who: Kurtis Cunningham, Nathan Desaid, and Bruce Wayne
What: Two lawmen go to pick up a potential murderer and there is cagey conversation
When: After this.
Where: Desaid's Ranch, Bargewood
Warnings & Notes: I would predict swearing

Kurtis borrowed a horse for this venture. No use in wearing out Iroh's for no good reason when it might be important to get out of town quick. Things were getting cagey, and normally he would have recommended they pack up. Especially after that sweet woman had gotten shot (he didn't even have the chance to bring her some of that tea he promised her, and he'd probably leave some at her grave before he left if she were buried quick enough). But the name mentioned by Mr. Reaver was familiar enough to give him pause.

Back when he was a young man, a very young man and before he had the company of a one James Darrell Edwards III to ride the trails with, he'd heard about Mr. Desaid, and some of the things that he'd done. None of those, though, involved shooting a man in the back for no goddamn reason.

He was nearly at the man's ranchhouse with Bruce before he said more than two words to the deputy. "This ain't his style," was all he said as he unsaddled and went to tie the horse. He didn't look at him either, as he said it. The man looked as though he was probably carved out of craigy stone.
