[Drake was eating in the dining hall, when suddenly...there was a hug!]

Hey Drake.

[ Nope, not leaving. Just gonna keep hugging you. ]

Hey Wally.

[Drake then noticed they were hugging. Yes, he was hugging Wally back, though he didn't know why. He was more surprised than particularly bothered by it.]

Why are we hugging?

[ He shrugged into their hug, entirely unconcerned. ]

I dunno. It's just a huggy sort of day, I guess.

I guess. [Drake shrugged.] Arthas and I had fun the other day. We were knocking people out who had the nanomites in them and taking them to zero.

[ He lets Drake go with a little squeeze, both disbelieving and proud. ]

Were you really? That's... that's great, Drake. Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. Narvin cut my arm while we were fighting him, but then Arthas hit him over the head and knocked him out, so I was fine. And Arthas gave me some of his stuff to give me a power boost. That helped.

[...maybe he shouldn't have mentioned that.]

"Arthas gave me a power boost," he muttered.

Well I figured if Arthas is being good now he wouldn't make me do that, and I always do what he says when I'm like that. Actually, I do what he says when I'm not like that, too.

Drake. We talked about this. You need to stop blindly following the people you like!

I know, but it turned out okay! I didn't hurt anyone!

Yeah, this time. What are you going to do when Arthas isn't around? Find some other evil bozo to attach yourself to? You need to start making your own decisions.

I'm kind of hoping Arthas is never not around. And making decisions is hard. I mean, I did the magic show stuff on my own, but I like being a part of something bigger than I can actually manage myself.

[ He just sighs. ]

Look, Drake. Being a follower is fine. There's nothing wrong with that! But what you're being right now is codependent. Eventually you are going to graduate, and Arthas won't be there with you when you go back home. What are you going to do then? Don't you have any plans for your life?
