Who: People who got hurt in the whole Nanomite plot and the people who want to be sympathetic and/or gloat.
Where: Infirmary.
What: Open infirmary spam thread! Everyone can post! Everyone can visit! It's like a party, only with more people deathtolling and less booze. (Though anyone who does bring booze is Spike's hero.)

Omega was hard at work, despite starting to feel tired. The encounter with Harkness didn't help, though that was matter of his nature more than the man himself. He wasn't feeling terribly talkative, but he was doing the job diligently.

Buffy wandered into the infirmary, looking dazed and almost childlike, clutching her injured arm. Gunshots hurt. She paused and hesitated, seeing Spike sitting in a bed on the far side of the room. Wondering if the green girl she'd killed had been brought in yet, Buffy had trouble letting her eyes scan the room. So she just sort of stood there. Looking, but not really looking, trying to find a familiar not-recently-killed-by-her face.

Buffy? [Omega had gone over to her as soon as he saw her. He took a quick visual inspection and noted that she appeared to be in shock.] Let me take a look at that arm, hmm?

[She blinked Omega's blurry form into focus and stared before responding. Oh, it was a relief to see him. Her voice was quiet.]

Huh? Oh. Yeah.

[Taking her hand off of the gunshot wound in her upper arm, she winced a little, looking at it. Her Slayer healing factor had stopped the bleeding, and it was starting to heal around the edges. But it looked really nasty.] Uh, the bullet's still in there.

[Gently, he guided her to the nearest bed and got out a hypospray from his pocket, ensuring he had the right medicine and dosage setting.] I'm going to inject you with a local anesthetic to numb the pain, while I take it out. [He brought the spray within millimetres of her skin and pressed the trigger which pushed the anesthetic into her bloodstream.]

[She nodded in response, complying and going along with what he was doing. Buffy waited for the shot. But.. When it was done, she looked at him quizzically.]

Is that it?

Hypospray. [He had to wait a few seconds for its effects to kick in so he explained.] It diffused the liquid inside to such an extent that it simply passed through the dermis layers, your skin, and into your bloodstream. Apparently from the same universe as the Starfleet people. [He hovered his hand over the wound and mentally got a hold of it, pulling it out without having to open the wound further. He showed her the bullet in his hand.] All yours. [He dropped it into a water bowl nearby and started to take out gauze and bandages.]

[Buffy had huh face. No, she couldn't understand a single word of that, especially not in this state.] Star.. Fleet? [Was all she could say. The clang of the bullet falling into the bowl startled her a little, but it also made her move her train of thought away from the hypospray and more on the matter at hand. Like how he got the bullet out so fast, without using anything.]

Time Lord trick? [She was able to smile, just so, the littlest upward quirk of the corners of her lips.]

T'Pol and Kirk. [He returned her smile with one of his own and dressed her wound.] Something like that. Your file says you're a fast healer, so I'll leave you to judge how long to keep it on. Just keep the wound clean and you should be fine. [He reached into his pocket once more before finally coming up with a bag of sweets and held it out.] For being such a good patient. [And for dealing with shock.]

[She still wasn't getting it right now. But that was alright. Buffy took a piece of candy and nodded once.] It was just the.. Getting it out part.

[His smile turned mysterious and he nodded.] I believe someone wishes to see you. [He pointed in Spike's direction.]

[Buffy looked to Spike, then looked away, quickly.]

I know. [With so much avoidance, she moved to pick up some spare gauze and bandages.] I'll- Later. [Buffy got up to leave.]

All right. [He looked over at him, but he wasn't about to stop her.]

Spike glanced up as soon as she came in, frowning at the injuries. He still wanted to talk to Buffy, but he didn't call her over or anything. He'd rather she got patched up first.

[After her gunshot wound was mended and the bullet removed, Buffy managed to give Spike a meaningful glance before she left the infirmary.

A little over an hour later, she came back, wearing a black hoodie and sweat pants, freshly showered. She'd re-bandaged herself after the shower, and she knew it wasn't strictly.. good to shower when she had deep wounds, but she had to get the blood off of her. The shower had done her a favor as far as her awareness, too.

Making her way quietly to Spike's bed, she noticed he was asleep. Good. That was good, actually. Better. With a quiet hiss at her wounds(she still didn't bend good. D:), she slowly and carefully sat down on the edge of the bed, watching him. After several seconds, she spoke.] Spike?

[Spike had been a little hurt that Buffy hadn't come to him straight away, but... injuries, blood, and she'd mentioned killing someone. He understands that she needs time. And also, he's still feeling pretty weak thanks to the death toll. It didn't take him long to fall asleep.

But when he hears her voice, he stirs and his eyes open right away. She's here.] Buffy?
