They would not hold her here. She didn't even know who "they" were yet. Probably the Alliance - who else would have the want or power to take her to some strange place? Where, she didn't know. The strange device that she'd found on awakening had been safely stowed on her belt for safekeeping and later examination. She wasn't sure how they'd brought her here - she remembered speaking to Crowley, of finally triumphing over the insolent mongrels who had plagued Silverpine, the cold joy of success - and then a sudden jolt, a loud bang and then nothing.
She frowned. What could have happened to her? Some sort of magical spell that had pierced her defenses? An ambush? She hadn't expected an honor-bound idiot like Crowley to endorse such underhanded tactics. And how had they taken her so quickly? She wasn't wounded - didn't feel wounded, at least. She couldn't quite reach out and touch the magic she'd once wielded, but that was to be expected if the Alliance scum expected to hold her for any length of time. They'd taken her bow as well - and that infuriated her. Oddly, they hadn't bound her nor had they removed her armor. She still had the claws on her gauntlets.
For a moment she hesitated on the threshold of her cell - for no matter how luxurious or how comfortable seeming it might be, it was still in all likely hood a cell - what would she find beyond the doorway? She dismissed the doubts and fears to the back of her mind. She hadn't let such thoughts stop her before, why would she let them do so now? She tried the handle.
To her utter surprise, it was unlocked. She'd expected that she would have to break it open. She swung the door open and stepped out into the hallway, half-crouched and hands raised as she scanned for threats. Nothing. Yet. Simply more blank doorways. She began to creep down the hallway, moving quickly and silently. The idiots who had done this to her would find out that the Banshee Queen was no simpleton and certainly still a threat, even when disarmed.
