Hayley had hit up Kay for help finding her school, then had hit up a ride to the coffee shop to finish her homework with Rex before walking over to her school in the morning. She preferred to be independent where possible. Part of her really wanted to find Capa, but knowing that he was seemingly pretty happily married to Arthur made her feel better about his situation. At least the two of them would probably have some fun; she didn't feel the need to bother him when she was managing. Rex had done her Trig and AP classes, Cooper had helped her with French, and she had called in a scheduling conflict with her music lesson. The only concern, really, was the art lesson she had almost immediately after school.
When she first arrived, her alleged friends helped her get around a little as she had hoped they would. They teased her a bit for forgetting where she was going, but they told her she was taking too many classes and the work had finally gotten to her, dismissing it as not much more than that for which was she was immensely grateful.
This was her last class before lunch, History, and she was glad to soon be given a break. Aaron was in the class, but her friends had reminded her that, no matter how much she liked him, there was still assigned seating. Hayley was relieved that her seat was on the opposite side of the class, not understanding why they would make such a remark. Her memories of Roy were too fresh and she really wanted to avoid him ever remembering what had transpired between them.
