The First Rule of Fight Club

Holmes arrives somewhat early in the gym, not bothering to eat lunch and taking the time to examine more of the equipment thoroughly. His attentions have currently left the library and art room, though they will likely shortly return to these places, and now it is the gymnasium which holds endless wonders and implements of potential murders with their specific bruises and wound shapes.
He doesn't quite lose track of time, but he is not at all concerned with the door when the time rolls around that Paddy should be arriving. It matters not as he is ready, already having removed his waistcoat and jacket and selected a set of gloves of favourable weight. He's starting to make a habit of regular sparring again; perhaps he should look into selecting a more suitable pair when a port or other event permits.
