AND THEN I GOT HIGH stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 00:50:26 UTC
[Rex was supposed to get back to his room, so that he could just enjoy the totally awesome buzz in secret, without anybody knowing that he just chugged vampire blood...

...

But instead he found himself on the deck. WHEE.]

Re: Deck - Not at all! stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 15:55:46 UTC
[Rex, on the other hand, grinned like he'd just seen a successful test run of his latest weapon-- which is to say: happily. And so, he waved.]

Claire! Hey! Claiiiire!

[And then hugged her in a completely un-Rexlike way.]

You're so soffffft...

THE MORNING AFTER stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 00:54:09 UTC
[Did he just fall asleep without his ventilator? Why was he not dead-- oh. Huh. The blood was still working. That's weird.

...

Well, it looked like he would be stuck in his room until the blood wore off. DON'T KNOCK ON THE DOOR.]

MEALTIMES & OTHER MASK TIMES stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 00:59:56 UTC
[Okay, eventually, he had to eat. Time to don the mask, get his food, and run it back to his room. No questions asked.

He'll also be wearing his mask over the days to go out and do... anything. Like meet with Paddy to learn what to do on his kitchen shift.]

FAKE ARTHUR TIMES stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 01:09:49 UTC
[WHY IS THIS BULLSHIT STILL NOT PASSING? AUGHHHH. Rex wanted to leave his room. Was that too much to ask for? Sure, he was usually a creepy shut-in, but now that he had to stay inside, he didn't want to. Good thing it was night time, so he could at least be mistaken for Arthur... despite his hair being too short. Time to sneak back out to the deck and enjoy... breathing. GOD IT'S SO AWESOME TO BREATHE. And you can intercept him somewhere else along the way, probably.]

IN A HALLWAY? whattasteisthis January 18 2011, 02:59:32 UTC
[Armand has been feeling absolutely terrible the past week and a half or so. Not even eating the balanced diet Rex advised him on is helping his energy to boost. To add to it, the vampire isn't wearing his usually campy, over-the-top attire, electing instead a more subdued pair of black slacks and dark red tunic. No coat, no vest, no knee-high boots. His skin is a quite healthy color, rather than the unbearably pale look of before, but he hates it nonetheless.

He glances up and at first doesn't recognize Rex; his senses are only that of a human, but he still does a double-take and doesn't know whether or not he should approach. There are look-alikes after all. Many, many look-alikes.]

[Rex, however, recognizes Armand instantly, and he sort of freezes in his tracks. This is... probably not good. And he just gave himself away by having any sort of reaction at all. Or... maybe not? Play it cool, Rex. He turns on his heel and oh, so casually walks in the other direction. He's pretty sure Armand wouldn't approve of what he'd done at all.]

[And indeed, it's the reaction that gives Rex away. A very dark anger rises in Armand's gut, stirring intensely as he clenches his jaw for a few moments before calling after him:] Who did you drink from?

[He knows enough to figure that Rex drank from another vampire on board. Instead of feeling happy and gleeful that Rex had subdued to the addiction, Armand felt the cold sting of insecurity that had been rising since he'd started turning human. He was no longer good enough for the mortal, was he. However, the overwhelming jealousy and anger quickly overrode any momentary doubts of himself.]

OBLIGATORY INMATE SHOWERS THREAD stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 01:11:32 UTC
[Except Rex wasn't in the shower. He was finished with his shower. And. Just. Staring. At his reflection. Like a crazy person. It wasn't a good stare, a vain stare, a pleased-with-what-he-saw stare. It was... intense. Like he was trying to recognize the person in front of him.

...

He hated this face.]

[With a towel draped across his neck, Iago walked into the inmate showers. He always hated it, but it was a necessary evil.

He saw Rex and paused, not really sure what to think. He didn't instantly think it was his friend, but he wasn't sure. So, for the moment, he just stared.]

MY AIM DIED BAWWWW stopthat_destro January 18 2011, 02:15:47 UTC
[Rex had his mask on-hand, in the event of somebody else entering, but since he wasn't paying attention to Iago's approach, he could shove it back on in time. Instead... he needed to hide it. Somehow. He turned and kept his arms around his back, dangling the mask from his fingers, and fixed Iago with a totally innocent look.]

What? Is there a problem?

[IGNORE THAT COBRA INSIGNIA ON HIS BATHROBE.]

[Iago rose a brow and just turned away from him, draping a towel over a rack and slipping off his shirt.]

I don't know. You tell me. [He was slowly starting to become aware that it might be Rex...but he still didn't know him scarless well enough.]
