[There's only more hesitation to follow, especially after Cissie's explanation for her absence. Isaac can relate when it comes to seeing horrifying things. He painted his own death, after all, and watched someone he loved die right in front of him. Something about it just hits close to home, and he responds quietly.]

I'm sorry. That's--that's terrible.

[He pauses, running his fingers lightly over the edges of the paintings. He desperately wants to say something more. If not something comforting, at least something helpful. After a hard swallow, he continues with the only thing he can think to add.]

I guess...that's part of the reason there are so many paintings here. I keep painting because I always hope there's some chance that my ability will kick in and show me the right things and I'll be able to warn people before something happens. But it never does. All I get is junk. Nothing important. Nothing I can use to help prevent anything. I know death doesn't stick here, but that doesn't mean it doesn't leave an impact.

[And that, Cissie, is quite possibly the most talking you will ever hear your inmate do in one shot.]
