Kay propped his foot up on a piece of equipment as he tied one of his dress shoes, his expression once again carved out of the most serious earnest. He realized sometimes how much he looked like his father when he made that face, and tried not to think about it. He hadn't appreciated the drill sergeant until long after he was written out of the man's life.
He looked at his watch, getting ready to set the timer so that he could go a round with the punching bag. He wasn't planning on getting in any matches today- lots of attacks this week. He wanted to conserve his energy for the real deal if it was needed.
