Una had covered quite a lot of the Barge to no avail, and as she stomped up onto the deck, she was quietly determining that her first order of business, once things were put to rights again-which they would be, she reminded herself-would be to get a sturdier leash for Dios. Maybe a harness. Anything that he couldn't slip so easily. Stupid bloody dog...
She rounded a corner and skidded to a stop at the sight of a fur-clad lady apparently about to do violence to a small wriggly bundle.
Harry had been searching for his inmate and as soon as he saw her, he opened his mouth to shout, until, that is, he caught sight of the club in her hand.
"Hey hey. Whoa, what's going on?" He transferred his confused look from Atia, up to the blond standing opposite. He was as in the dark as her, pun not intended.
Then he saw the cloth under Atia's hands give a wriggle. "Ah shit. Atia. Tell me you didn't."
Atia kept the cloth-covered canine held to the deck, but the interruption made her situation untenable and the Roman's attention whirled. It was difficult to tell if it was colder out here or inside the ship, for there was no weather to speak of. Still, heat retention was what wearing fur was for.
"I have no intention of merely standing by while this Admiral creature leaves us to rot," she declared, raising her weapon, again. "Someone needs to send the gods a message..."
The bundle wriggled again and let out a sharp bark, which Una recognised immediately.
"Not with my dog, you're not!" she snapped, and strode forward to grab Atia's arm, drawing her gun as she did so. Her attention was entirely on Atia; what the man was getting up to was his business, and she assumed that he was no kore interested in animal sacrifice than Una was.
