Hunting for Amanda
Sorry for the spam, I promise this is the last plot entry from me!
Who: Amanda Young, Jason Bourne, Stephanie Brown, and Molly Carpenter (with a quick mention of Sam Tyler). No real posting order, just make sure everyone gets some good action in.
What: Amanda gets taken down.
Where: The CES.
When: After Victor wins Amanda's game.
Warnings: Violence, possibly language.
Amanda's heart felt about ready to pound out of her chest.
It was due in part, of course, to the fact that she'd been running since she stepped foot out of her room. As for the rest, some was having that old sensation of importance and control back again. Getting to witness the suffering of someone she hated entered into it, too, but she refused to let herself consciously acknowledge it. And of course, finally, the exhilaration of knowing she'd done right by John. Victor won, fairly, and she didn't take his life from him out of spite afterward. She hoped, too, that Rex had gotten what she'd left for him just before luring Victor to her room: the friendship bracelet he'd given to her during the summer camp breach. Surely he'd get the message buried in that act.
Getting into the CES had proved easier than she'd hoped. Someone who might have been a warden crossed her path on the way there, and a split-second was all she needed to determine that it was, in fact, Sam Tyler, and not his inmate lookalike. She'd quickly and quietly knocked him unconscious with her makeshift baton, and took his warden item. Maybe it was the item that caused the CES door to open up on some woods; she was a city girl. Or maybe it was just pure chance. She didn't care.
As she ran, Amanda held her baton in one hand, and her mask, along with the bag she'd grabbed on her way out, in the other. She didn't know where to go, or how long it would take for them to catch her. She just needed to cause panic, and let the world of the Barge know that Jigsaw was among them.
For the time being, she couldn't hear or see any pursuers. She used that time to put as much distance between those who would eventually come and herself as she could.
