WHO: Parker and House
WHERE: the maritime/art museum
WHEN: the wee hours between Sunday and Monday
WHAT: burglary-related shenanigans
Parker was just about done with unscrewing the grate over the air shaft on the roof. She'd had to lift a screwdriver and wire-cutters from a hardware store, but other than that, she was going in equipment-free. Should be exciting.
Up on the roof, it was almost completely silent. Most people had left the bars by now, though she could still hear the occasional drunken bout of laughter drifting up from the streets below. She liked the quiet.
The last screw finally came free, and Parker laid it in a neat pile with the others before carefully lifting the grate up and setting it aside.
