LATE AFTERNOON: CES/DECK notarrowette October 13 2010, 16:34:43 UTC
Cissie decides she needs some fresh air, so she goes up to the deck for a while. She kicks around some leaves for a while before going into the CES for a run.

[Feel free to find her on the deck or in the CES, just let me know which!]

On this particular day, the CES contained a beach, and Namor had gone there to swim alongside the dolphins. His agility was even greater than theirs, and sometimes he or a dolphin would jump out of the water. When he spotted the girl, someone he'd never seen before, Namor moved close to the shore, curious.

Cissie liked it when it was the ocean; it calmed her down. She ran along the beach for a while, then found a rocky outcropping and walked along it to the end, picking a spot to sit where she could pull her shoes off and put her feet in the water.

She looked out over the water, smiling at the sight of the dolphins... Wait a second. Was that--a person? She covered her eyes to shield them from the sun while she looked more closely. That was definitely a person, moving closer.

"Uh. Hello," she said when he came closer.

"Hello," he replied, very much at ease in the water as he effortlessly swam in place. "Do you come here often?"

She gave an easy shrug. "Not here-here, necessarily, but to the CES? Every so often, I guess. It's nice to get away sometimes." She smiled. "I'm Cissie."

"I am Namor. I come here almost every day. As long as there is a decent body of water, the food I find here is always more appetizing than what they cook in the kitchens." Primarily because he preferred raw seafood.

Cissie kicked her feet in the water idly, looking more closely at him. "Are you..." She paused, grimacing. "Sorry, there's no real way to ask this without sounding like a jerk. Are you human?"

"I am not," he said firmly. Was it not obvious? "I am Atlantean."

She raised an eyebrow curiously. "...Like Aquaman?"

"I do not know any 'Aquaman'. However, considering his name, I suppose it sounds plausible, as we do live in the sea."

Cissie's only a little disappointed. Not that she actually wanted to deal with Aquaman--she had yelled at him once, years ago--but it might have been nice to meet someone from home. "I'm guessing we're not from the same place, then. Aquaman's from Atlantis too, where I'm from."

"Atlantis is large...though I do think I'd take note of someone calling themselves 'Aquaman'."

She laughed. "Maybe. He's a hero where I'm from. He works with the Justice League."

"Then I suspect we are from different worlds. In my own, there is no such team as a 'Justice League', and having been a member of the Avengers and several other such teams, I suspect I'd be aware of them if we had such a group."

She hummed thoughtfully, nodding. "Yeah, probably. I've never heard of the Avengers."
