Harper... didn't particularly care for nature either, but he figured Rex and Uhura needed to get away from all reminders of Ana on the Barge, and if he was perfectly honest, there were a couple of things he didn't want reminding of himself. At the time? Fleeing into the fake great outdoors and overcooking some generic camping food, had seemed like a pretty good idea.

"Okay, so I'm thinking? Me and Uhura go on tent putting up duty, because there's no great risk of either of us dislodging our breathing apparatus while in the progress, and Rex? You get the fun and excitement of getting a fire started!"

Harper didn't really expect Rex to be able to start a fire. He'd just come back and blast the wood with his force lance later to get it going. Glancing over towards Uhura, he raised an eyebrow, "That work for you?"

She really didn't like the idea of camping out in the middle of nowhere with both Harper and Rex, but she really didn't have a choice, did she? It was something to do and if she couldn't sleep, then she would just obsess over it and that would not do. So, instead, she pulled her hair back and nodded.

"Alright." Manual labor. Whee. She looked to Rex.

"Please be careful." Meaning...please don't light anything useful on fire.

Occasionally, Harper just straight up forgot that Rex had actually been in a fire at some point to get the way he was. He sometime just thought of his inmate as having fallen out of the womb all wheezing and crispy. So he ignored his inmates initial response, and had set to work screwing the tent poles together in anticipation of needing somewhere to sleep that night.

It wasn't until a distinctly un-Rex-like voice started shouting complaints at him, that he actually started paying attention to the other man, "Rex? What are you wh--" He stopped suddenly, putting a hand over his mouth. That... okay, since when were floods this frequent ( ... )
