Bourne had been gracious enough to allow Costigan into the CES. After the two had gone on a run together, Bourne had let the inmate stay so that he could get some quiet time. He had heard the Admiral's announcement about a flood, but it was all the more reason to stay. Running on a beach was good exercise and he didn't so much mind the beautiful colors cascading across the ocean in a way that was reminiscent of Revere Beach. Because he had only planned on running, he was in shorts and a plain, white t-shirt.

Costigan was pulled from his reverie when he caught someone else in his peripheral vision. Immediately the inmate slowed, reaching to the small of his back and regretting that his knife wasn't there. After the initial reaction, however, he realized only wardens could arrive alone and it seemed a woman on top of it. He picked up into a light jog to close the distance between them, trying to cool off from his run to help prevent his muscles from tightening.

sorry for falling off the map yesterday. >.< mrs_persson August 30 2010, 16:17:56 UTC
Una saw the approaching figure and blinked.

It couldn't be. Could it?

She started walking faster, picking up her pace almost to a run (she had a vague sense, somehow, that this was all happening in slow motion, perhaps with orchestral strings playing in the background). "My god, it's you!" she called out, a smile on her face.

No worries! I've been hit and miss myself. lost_undercover August 31 2010, 07:30:32 UTC
Costigan had never gotten that reaction before. Ever, in his entire life. It instantly put him on guard and his jog quickly slowed and stopped in an awkward and stiff posture shortly before she reached him. He folded his arms. No matter what her intentions, it wasn't in him to attack a woman in any way.

"You alright?" It crossed his mind that she could be affected by the flood, so he tried to halt his suspicion before it grew.

Una skidded to an embarrassed stop and flushed.

That was not Danny Archer's accent.

"Oh. Oh, hell, I'm sorry. I ... thought you were somebody else." She bit her lip.

Costigan dropped his head and shifted his weight, not entirely certain how to handle the case of mistaken identities. The woman--Una, if he recalled correctly--had been so excited for whoever she had thought him to be that he almost felt guilty for not being the other man.. unless that man was his bastard of a twin who had, thankfully, gone missing.

"It's fine," he responded sincerely, lifting his gaze up again to look at her. "Archer, right? I think he left."

Una rubbed her hand over her face, still embarrassed. "Yes. I'm really sorry ... I don't usually dash about making a fool of myself like that, I swear." She glanced up at him (through her eyelashes, almost coquettishly, though she wasn't wholly aware that that was what she was doing). "I hope I'm not getting in your way."

"Yeah. The Barge has a talent for making people look like fools. Don't think anything of it." It was his attempt at helping her to feel more at ease, while he still stood there with crossed arms and some anxiety. There was something about that look that he found appealing, even if he was still pining over Madolyn. "I was just finishing up my run. You can join me if you want.. or I could leave? I didn't mean to interrupt whatever you came here to do."

She chuckled a little. "That it does. I, er ... wouldn't mind the company, if that's all right. I just came here for some quiet time, but I don't mind ... you know, not being alone."

Let me know if you want to assume the rest or keep going slowly.. <3 lost_undercover September 12 2010, 21:04:20 UTC
"You prefer to walk or run?" He didn't mind the idea of a nice, quiet walk with a woman, even if it wasn't the woman he would have preferred. She was nice enough, relatively attractive, and he was tired of being alone. Then again, maybe that was the flood talking. Fahk.

Am cool with continuing but assuming is easier? Sorry I've been so slow and fail lately. >.< mrs_persson September 13 2010, 14:22:24 UTC
"Who doesn't like a walk on a beach?" she replied with a smile. Something about that rang a little oddly in her head, although when she tried to focus on it, the thought slipped away like mercury.
