Who: Any and all nerd/techy types (YA'LL KNOW WHO YOU ARE)
What: Technical diagnostics! Exciting, I know.
Where: The engine room (lol I don't know where this is physically located)
When: Monday morning onwards?
Warnings: Made-up-as-we-go-along BARGE SCIENCE, possibly?
The engine room of the Barge had been torn open by a rent in the hull, and unsurprisingly the crash had done plenty of damage alongside providing access. Much of the metalwork was still warm, panels ripped open and cables lying snapped and frayed. Toshiko was cataloguing the damage in obsessively minute detail. Some of had just been shaken apart by the crash and could be fixed on the fly. Some could not.
Unless the Admiral had a cache of spare parts on board (unlikely), they would have to venture out into a world where they had a price on their heads to get supplies. And she still hadn't quite gotten to grips with how some of the more familiar mechanics worked with the less familiar parts; it felt like trying to restore a damaged painting when you didn't actually know what it was a painting of, except for how there were potentially dozens of lives at stake if they got this wrong.
"It's just as well we're up for a challenge, isn't it?" she said blankly to whoever was standing closest.
(OOC: Because I'm sick/lazy, I'm handwaving a post of Tosh saying pretty much: 'the engine room is in X location, come and czech it out if you're capable of helping'. So consider yourselves informed!
No set posting order, just don't dominate the log. :3 Also, mods, if there's anything specific we need to know on the BARGE TECH front, then please let me/us know, otherwise we'll stick to the much-beloved handwaving and vagueness.)
