Sveta waited for a significant amount of time to pass before she headed down to Hix's cabin, a bag slung across her shoulders. The week had been difficult, though her birthday had been something to break the monotony of hard times. But now she was back down to the wear and tear of the days and she could not believe what she was doing. Collecting blood. Keeping her friend from killing himself for a group of creatures, her inmate included, who should not even exist. The mere fact that they were walking around, unchecked, was a huge offense for Sveta, who could only come to terms with the fact that vampires existed by remembering that they had to follow the Truce, just the same as everyone else.
But these vampires did not. They did not have to get licenses and permissions. They simply took. And instead of being properly shamed by this, a number of them were enjoying this new freedom.
This rattled Sveta to her core, but she would not let Hix die because of it. Because he received improper care from someone else or from doing it on her own. So, with a deep breath, not quite understanding the bear comment from before, she knocked twice on his door and simply waited.
