Ruby was waiting for him on the couch by the door, which had previously been pushed in front of it. (Hey, she's paranoid.) She was quick to set Flame aside and open the door.
She resists the urge to stick her head out the door, just for the sake of breathing some outside air, and closed the door behind her, taking a seat beside him. "A little, I guess. Drew a little, wrote a little." Though it was their chat that had made the most difference, she would deny it to herself for as long as she could.
"Least you've got your looks," she said casually. She grabbed one of the sandwiches and took a bite. What she just said didn't bother her as much as it probably should have. Food first, brain-mouth filter later.
Ruby glanced over at Dean. "What about in general?" she asked before taking another bite. Things might be very done between the two of them, but that didn't mean she didn't care. She cared a lot more than she wanted to.
She nodded as she finished off the last of her sandwich. As soon as she swallowed, there was a thoughtful pause. She wondered if she should say what was on her mind, but hey, he was here and it could hurt.
"Everything." Ruby leaned back into the couch, staring at the ceiling. "I realized what I did was fucked up a while back, but I don't think I actually ever apologized. So I'm sorry."
"No it's not." She looked back at him. "I don't expect to be forgiven. I probably shouldn't be. Doesn't mean I shouldn't say it, do something right for once."
