Who: Jubilee + open (multithreads are made of love) When: Today Where: CES (nice beach setting) What: Jubilee is a girl, and loves her bikini Warning: None, that I know of.
CES, check. Gold bikini? Working on it. Jack made his way through the sand, deciding he definitely was not dressed for the occasion. He took off his coat and shoes, carrying them as he walked through sand until he found one Jubilation Lee. Seeing the headphones and the shades, he moved to block her light to get her attention.
The fight - mocking, but still - earlier had left her comfortably relaxed. When the shadow fell over her, Jubilee didn't move. "Not even a hello, Captain?" Jubilee asked, opening her eyes to look up at him.
She shaded her eyes and sat up looking at him. "Do you always just jump right to the middle?" She teased. Her hand sparked. "Or would you rather just head straight for the end?"
Jack crouched, and held out his hand with a sly, but very honest grin. "Hello, Captain Jack Harkness. Pleasure to meet in the flesh." But then her hands were just awfully interesting, and he arched his eyebrows. "You know, it depends on how the journey goes."
She laughed, and reabsorbed the pafs, and shook his hand. "Jubilation Lee, nicknamed Jubilee." She said with a grin.
She leaned back on her hands. "I doubt any of us can claim a boring journey." Jubilee teased. "Pop a squat, Captain, I promise not to blow anything up."
"Good. I'm not fond of being blown up." He laid coat and shoes down before sitting next to her, legs stretching out so he could bury his feet in the sand. "Feels just like Earth's sun." Which was hot. The suspenders were shrugged off so he could start on his shirt's buttons.
She settled back down on her blanket. "Doesn't it feel great?" She said, grinning. "Just what I needed to remind me why I love being a girl." Jubilee glanced at him. "And don't worry. I only blow up the people I love."
Laying his shirt over the jacket, Jack leaned back, one hand shading his eyes as he grinned. "Love already? I'm touched. And this is just what I needed." Wel that's a lie, but sun is definitely nice.
She laughed. "I thought you said you didn't want blown up?" Jubilee teased. One hand rose lazily, the fingers sparked, and pafs flew into the air, bursting softly over the water.
"I know what you mean. After the last week or so, I needed it too." She shrugged.
Jack just chuckled, shifting to watch those little bursts. At least she'd always be able to entertain herself, that was something. "Could have always come out here as a man," he said. These people and their categories. Couldn't just appreciate things, no matter the body they're in.
Jack snorted. "The top's unnecessary. And if you asked, you would have gotten some speedos. Perfect for sunbathing." Too bad he didn't have a pair on. Oh well.
She couldn't help but giggle at that. "Are you kidding? Kurt practically wrapped me in blankets when I came up here this morning." She said, shaking her head. "Plus, I was afraid of drowning myself." She wrinkled her nose. "My balance was all wonky and stuff."
She stretched her arms over her head, then rolled onto her stomach. "I dunno." Jubilee said thoughtfully. "Skinny dipping alone isn't too bad. And alone is better than the wrong company."
"True. You don't want to wind up in the wrong company." Jack shifted, sliding his hands under his head to pillow it as he closed his eyes. "There's a crack waiting to be made here," he added lightly, a smirk curling the side of his mouth. He wasn't exactly great company, in some respects. "Anyway, that's what you need company for. Buddy system."
"Only one?" Jubilee asked, resting her head on her arms. "Please, if I was at home, we'd be drowning in innuendo right now." She said dryly. "Which, hey, isn't all that bad of a way to go."
She shifted and reached over to pull the sunscreen out of her bag. Jubilee dangled it within his eyesight. "It might not be Earth's sun, but you're still going to burn." She admonished gently.
"It's an excellent, if unfulfilling way to go." Jack just chuckled and shook his head at the offered sunscreen. "No, that's fine. I grew up on a beach. Burning isn't for me." Well. Not this far from a fake sun, anyway. All his burning stories tended to involve incineration.
Jubilee shrugged and tossed the small bottle back in her bag. "You too huh?" Jubilee asked. "My dad used to say that he never had to worry about finding me. Only three places to look: The mall, the beach or the gym." She rested her head on her arms. "So, tell me Captain Jack Harkness, just what are you a captain of?"
"So, where are those fireworks?"
