It was during the excitement of the holidays that Peter's behavior began to concern McCoy. The nurse had been far too quiet and withdrawn for McCoy not to notice, something McCoy was willing to leave alone at first, the holidays had varying effects on people. He already had his hands full with Kirk and the port and Pavi, one potential disaster or triumph after another.
Now that is was his shift it was easier to focus on Peter, frowning as he regarded the young man. When shifts changed and they were the only two within hearing shot McCoy walked over, leaning against the nearby wall and crossing his arms.
"Alright kid, what's going on?" He asked.
