What: Cleaning up and late night snacks
Where: The dining hall and kitchen

JD was thankful that he had made the commitment to Rube and the rest of the kitchen staff to cook all of the meals for a while. He showed up for every shift and made every meal and had learned a lot about cooking in the short few days that he had been doing it. It was a good distraction from the fact that Veronica had been here and what she might have done or said. It kept his mind off of it, which was good because every time he thought of the time she had spent here his blood started to boil.
The adolescent was scrubbing the pan he had used to fry tortillas that night in the sink, humming a familiar tune by The Cure as the sponge hit the hard surface and he raked the grease from the pit of it. If he was honest he was just biding his time, he didn’t want to return to Tony’s room just yet, the work gave him something to focus on.
