Booth was sitting in the dining hall enjoying a cup of coffee and a nice slice of pie when the Admiral's announcement came over the loudspeaker... or whatever crazy thing passed for a loudspeaker system around here. He just made a face and kept eating. No sense in wasting perfectly good pie because he might disappear any second, was there?
He did take out his notebook and a pen and start writing a little note to Bones. She could probably use a few words of advice, or at least encouragement. And until he got to see her again? Hell, he'd miss her.
