Martha Jones was going to meet Lily Evans Potter. This was a rather odd experience, even for someone who had met Shakespeare and had gotten a rather stoned (or some sort of port-influenced) hug from Severus Snape. Whenever Lily had shown up in the books, particularly in Snape's worst memory, Martha had gotten an overwhelming feeling of sadness, and now she had somehow shown up here for Snape.

Putting away her thoughts, Martha had started the electric tea kettle, and it was just whistling when she heard the knock on her door. With a grin when she heard Lily Potter call her name, Martha quickly strolled over to the door and opened it, allowing the other woman entrance. One hand was extended towards the ginger haired woman. "Hello."

Lily smiled warmly and shook Martha's hand. "I'm sorry I kept you waiting like that. Manny and I did some exploring. He's here for Bernard, he says - maybe you know him."

She stepped in and looked around, taking in the room. "Everyone here is so friendly."

"I know of him, but I don't think I've met him. The ship can be rather large." Martha was glad that Lily hadn't met any of the worst of the people who were here. "And don't worry, I've been meeting people too. It's odd how much better this sort of thing is other than some of the ones we've had in the past." And it was true, loved ones (even the less desirable ones) were much better than the Borg or having demons around.

Martha's room was rather modern, and purple and thankfully it bore no traces of the fire that had swept through it two floods ago. Even the lingering smell of smoke was gone. Martha looked around when Lily did, and she was glad that most of the Harry Potter books were on the back of her bookshelf. "Did you enjoy the tour?" The question was as she gestured toward the chairs in her room.

Lily seated herself in one of the offered chairs and looked around again, sighing. The room was very nice-looking. She'd always been partial to purple, herself.

"The tour was lovely. It really is a wonderful place. I don't think many of the inmates recognize how good they have it. You know, considering the alternative." She looked, for a moment, as if she hadn't said anything out of the ordinary, then realized what she'd let slip and quickly changed the subject. "How long have you been here?"
