Through the blood bond Eric had forged between them, Sookie could feel him approach her cabin. She squeezed her eyes shut and waited for him to knock on the door, though, unwilling to seem too eager: she wasn't sure how she felt about his last comment that the CES would provide them with plenty of alone-time. Honestly, if things hadn't shifted at least a little between them, she would have found the comment downright menacing.

But after everything that had happened in Texas, she was more willing than she'd once been to give him the benefit of the doubt. Plus, it was exhausting, the thought of being completely isolated without allies on a contained environment... and she still wasn't sure how she felt about Bill being absolutely fine and just kickin' around the barge when she'd been so sick with worry about him.

"Eric," she greeted him, opening the door and looking all the way up at him. Sookie always seemed to forget just how tall the vampire actually was -- it always surprised her. "Good evening."

Sookie looked the same as the last time Eric saw her and he smiled his greetings. "You're looking well, Sookie," he told her, stepping out of the way so that she might pass him. "So what is it you want to talk about? Or should this wait until we are in the CES?"

The barge had, so far, proven itself a cold place, and not just in the sense of the absence of the Louisiana heat Sookie was used to, so the simple courtesy of Eric's greeting earned him an honest smile. "I think it should wait. Walls have ears around here, I think."

She closed her door behind them, and clasped her hands before her. "I apologise for losing my temper with your inmate earlier, by the way."

"He deserved it." He lead her to the stairwell and continued to make small talk until they reached the CES.

[And jump cut to the CES, b/c I have no idea what to write up to that point.]

Once they got to the door of the CES, Eric used his item to unlock the door. He held it open for Sookie to pass and then let himself in. The scene before him was dark, but lit by an unseen moon, giving the place a bluish glow. It was a sort of arboretum. Trees and bushes, and flowers were everywhere and there was a path that led through them. Eric hoped that maybe somewhere there was a secluded bench or gazebo, he might be able to take advantage of.
