Who: Toshiko Sato & Aleera
What: A new warden gets to know an old inmate.
When: Nonspecific point shortly after this conversation.
Where: Aleera's cabin

'Insight', Aleera had said. Really. It wasn't that Toshiko was scared, as such - Torchwood had shown her such a variety of creatures that vampires seemed kind of ludicrous and campy, although she refused to let her experience lull her into a false sense of security. It was more that she was very conscious of being alone in this. Of course all the wardens were in roughly the same (metaphorical) boat, but this was...very different to anything she'd done before. Aleera's wardenship was her job, her responsibility alone, and nobody here had her back as directly as they had at home. Not that that had really helped, in the end.
Toshiko swallowed her doubts and tapped on her inmate's door. She was armed - in a sense - but she hoped it wouldn't have to come to that.
