Elle made her way down to Peter's room as quickly as she could, eager to see him after a week of not being able to. She was more than a little nervous, since he'd completely ignored her except in a doctor/patient capacity. What if she'd finally made her self-fulfilling prophecy come true and he didn't want to have anything to do with her anymore? On the other hand, maybe he'd just been really busy, like he'd said. People had always treated work as more important than her, so maybe Peter had just been dealing with other patients for a week.
When she got to his room, she opened the door without knocking and slipped inside, shutting the door behind her.
