It happens.

Man, what a rough week it has been, honestly. Granted, there are tons of worse situations, but my week definitely could have been better in a lot of ways. So, let me see where this update takes me...

I literally need to stop pulling all-nighters. They are making my body hate me. Plus, then I try to catch up on sleep and my day gets thrown off when I miss a meal or something more important... :-\  I stayed up practically the entire night last Sunday writing my French paper. It was too much. But I suppose it was worth it because, much to my surprise, I did get an A on the thing! Fun times there! Still though, sleep is quite the necessity.

Other than that, I think classes are going fine for the most part. I haven't had Lit Methods all this week due to conferences, I got an 85 on my Hinduism test, French is French and will always be difficult at a 3000 level, and African American Lit is going OK. But then, at the same time, I really do have a lot going on the side. Don't get me wrong, though, I like some of it... HLA is picking up again, and we have some great plans for the rest of the year. Intramural soccer games are a lot of fun, and I love my teammates. And work is still made enjoyable by the people that I work with (plus, I'm still getting paid). But sometimes, I feel as if I do too much; funny thing is, that only happens during certain situations, like having to go to fashion show practice. I swear, those practices are ridiculous, they're disorganized, nobody really has a full idea of what they are doing (myself included)... I just wonder if it will be worth it in the end. I'm gonna stick to it, because I stick to my commitments. But still, I'm trying to figure out things, like if I really can afford the time to pledge APO, or if I should take less hours at work. Things balance out, it just happens to be a lot at once. Somehow, they have to work out.

Other random news, I finally did finish my FAFSA. Filed it the day before the Maryland state deadline, so it's nice to have something else taken care of. I will be living in CCM house next semester, but rooming with someone that I don't really know. I'm thinking that I will hardly be in the room anyways, and it is only for a semester, since I will be going abroad to Budapest in the spring. At this point, I really do have to go abroad in the spring, since I only have confirmed housing for the fall, LOL. I want to be a peer mentor. Like, really. But, Dr. Ursin picked someone else. So, if Dr. Quesada does not have someone else, I will peer mentor for his FYS, which will be on the culture of Mexico. Should be interesting. Oh, and I refuse to pay for the damages in Rouzer (my residence hall)... just so you know.

Last night was really interesting. I got to go to the Hindu temple closeby here with Amanda to celebrate Holi, which is a Hindu holiday. We needed to do this for a reflection paper for Hinduism class, so naturally, a bunch of other people from the class were also there. Amanda and I stayed for the whole thing, and I am glad we did. Their chants and prayers were really interesting, and in a cool kinda way, so were the statues of the gods that they had. After that, there was a bonfire, and people also celebrate Holi by throwing colored powders at each other. Let's just say that by the end of the night, I was all of ten different colors. =)  We also stayed for the food, which was good, and then came back to campus. For the rest of the night, I basically just visited people, scaring them with my face (it was freaky looking, I promise you). I visited Jenny again, somehow also ended up with Sarah and Alex, and ended up making a late-night Sheetz run. The cashier didn't even bat an eye at my appearance, though. But, through all this, I was doing laundry, because I still needed a towel to shower... hahaha, after all the adventures were over, I got in bed before 5, at least... ; )

Today, got up, had brunch, gave tour, lounged with Jenny again, tried doing work, had dinner, went to Target with Rachel, and went and saw Lobby Hero, which was really good. I don't expect to be doing anything else for the rest of the night, unless I get a call... if not, then I will be staying in and doing some work, like I should be doing. But it's not too hard to find people to hang out with here at McDaniel on a Saturday night...

What's my future like?
-Spring break is next week! But, I won't be going home... at least not yet. I'm going with CCM on a service/missions trip to Kentucky, and will be back the 16th, where I will go home for the weekend. Still though, I am pretty excited about the trip.
-Soccer is ending this week, but I can't wait for the final two games... go Rice Cakes!
-I have decided to buy myself an iPod nano. In blue. As soon as I pay off my credit card... ; ) (how else am I gonna buy it???)
-I'm gonna change the color of my hair after break, when it's longer, and Ashlii is gonna help me out with it. Haven't decided what color yet, though... any suggestions?

Wow, what a long entry! Props to you if you read through all of that! Anyhow, that's all for now... updates to come later! God bless!
