Saturday still turned out to be interesting; it's amazing how I always manage to find something to do around here! So, I ended up visiting Nicole and Theresa at their apartment in North Village, which is actually quite nice. Then, being that they are both awesome people, they decided to accompany me to dinner in Glar so that I wouldn't be by myself, LOL. After that, I went back to my room, and when there was too much going on in my hall, I just walked around campus to get away from it. Ran into Dorothy, where we decided to do a random Wal-Mart run, which was actually fun! Then, we end up going to her sister Adrienne's room for a long time, where this guy Konrad joins us to watch movies. It was pretty interesting, I must say, but I had to leave when I started falling asleep at around 3 in the morning.
On Sunday, I wake up to go to brunch, and then after some time, go with Elizabeth and Ray and others to Spanish mass. There weren't a lot of people there, but it was still kinda cool to be in a setting that was familiar to me. Then, most of us head to CCM house for dinner, where we also had a guest speaker who spoke on behalf of the ONE campaign, and other organizations that help to end world hunger. It was very interesting. Shortly after, it was time to meet to go to the Gospel Choir gig. The director wasn't kidding... it was in some white tents in the middle of nowhere. We only had one soprano, and I was the only bass, but I still think we sounded pretty good. I think our audience appreciated it either way, because we were singing for God, which I find to be amazing. =) From there, we head back to campus, and after an hour, I go with Lauren Howe and Charissa and other awesome people to Ekklesia, this coffeehouse thing sponsored by local churches and ministries at this coffee shop in Westminster. Yes, it was Christian, so it was kinda cool, but to be honest, not like Mud Puddle cool. =) But we stayed for a good hour and a half, and then I came back to my dorm room, did some work, and went to sleep.
Today, I didn't go to breakfast, since I really didn't feel like getting up. I got to math class just in time. Easy stuff in there. Then, some note-taking in sem, and lunch with Amanda again. After that, I studied for a good... ohhh, ten minutes before my French oral, and went and did that, and I think I did fine. So, my afternoon was free after that. I was free for a long while, in which I spent part of my time visiting the amazing Laura Davis. But, alas, then more stuff to keep me busy had to pop up. I did some more scenework with George, went to the HLA meeting, had a quick dinner with Laura and Leah, who came back!, then went straight to work. Only one credit card, though... oh well... And now I have been in my room ever since.
I should be doing more work, I really should, but I get caught up in other things... oh, but don't worry, I'm definitely not at that point where I was in high school, like junior year, for example. No, not at all, but still, I just want to make sure I am keeping up with good study habits. Plus, I kinda fell asleep on my bed, and I woke up to hear noise in the next room. What was it? Oh, a group of people talking... and about me, among other things. Nothing serious, they just seem to hate me for no apparent reason and want to get people to not vote for me for Homecoming court... and you know, I am still surprised over how immature and stupid people can be... I mean, first of all, they don't even have the decency to say all this to my face, but what gets me the most is that whoever was in that room, I know for a fact that I don't even know them, so what is their F-ing problem??!? But no, I won't let it get to me... Please, why would I make a big deal over something as trivial as homecoming court? I would like to win, but I'm not pressed, as others apparently are...
Yeah, that's basically it. I mostly did the entry to vent about that last part. I needed to get it out of my system. Still though. Assholes. Anyways, this week will be busy, with Homecoming and whatnot. I pray to God that He will guide me through all the tough times and the temptations.
God bless you all.
