Hey everyone! I know, it's been a really long time since my last entry. And you know what? A lot has happened since then. Let me fill you all in...
•Prom was amazing! I had an awesome date (Andrea), my group had awesome people, we had so much at dinner at P.F. Chang's, and I did not expect to have so much fun at the dance. It was seriously a blast! Then there was after prom, which wasn't as fun as it could have been, but it was still awesome, nonetheless. Pictures will come... whenever. Hahahaha!
•The English video project was something of a success. I had fun doing it, but the only downside was that we couldn't edit our videos... booooo. But, I'm thankful for the group that I had. Great times!
•School is finally over! The last few days of school were... well, let's just say that productivity was practically non-existent. But, final projects were all turned in, only two exams that had to be accomplished, and easy ones at that, and before I knew it, it was time for final clearance. Except for me, because I was stupid and forgot my religion textbook. So, I took the exam anyways, and then yesterday, I went back with my book and my clearance sheet, and finally got my graduation tickets. So, as of yesterday afternoon, I am officially out of high school! It's kind of weird really... I guess it hasn't completely sunk in yet. But, it's exciting!
•I realize the importance of keeping in touch with friends. And I plan on doing that in any way possible. If anybody wants to do anything at all this summer, hit me up in any way you can... cell, IM, email, myspace, facebook... it's the last summer before college and I will do everything possible to enjoy it.
•On a much sadder note, Beth's mother, Barbara Goslin, passed away on the 20th after a long battle with illnesses stemming from her cancer. While this is a hard time for the family, it is also good to know that she is in heaven in the Lord's arms, no longer suffering. I went up to Pennsylvania for the funeral, along with others from St. Martin's. I knew that Beth would do anything for me, so it was only natural to support her in her time of need, and her family. But, thankfully, the family is doing great, especially with the love and support that others have provided. And it seems that Mrs. Goslin truly was a saint, after having touched so many people's lives with her faith. May she rest in peace at the Lord's side.
•Finally, college preparations have taken a lot of time. Well, not a lot, really, but I felt like saying that. I filled out my residence survey, I did my introduction online, got my email and blackboard accounts started, picked my First Year Seminar, and even took placement exams in Math and French. So, right now there is not much else to do, and I'm just waiting for things to pick up.
I guess that is all that can come to mind, at this moment. Sorry if the update seems a little incoherent, but it's basically a stream of consciousness, at least for me. I will try to keep updating more, and regularly, especially through college. Seniors, enjoy the summer, even if it is too hot to handle.
