write-in-the-rain paper is the most amazing stuff in the entire world.
i talked to a mr potter this afternoon (perhaps of some relation to a 'harry'?) and he was very nice and gave me permission to sample hemlocks on his neighbor's property -- the only place on the entire street that was not plastered w/no trespassing signs. evan was right: the richer people are, the more "keep out" signs they put up. bah to that.
we made a bonfire out back last night to celebrate the solstice with marshmallows and the moon.
caitlin called me tonight :-) absolutely made my night...even if i was swearing at the phone when it started ringing because i has assumed it would be for someone else and that i would lose my coveted posession of the phone. but it was very good to hear about good food and pastels and first-aid kits and to talk about trees (wait, isn't that what i always do?).
did i mention that i love write-in-the-rain?
