Ether, Magic, and Limitations
There's something that's been bothering me, but I've only just put my thumb on it.
The ship, this whole ship is dead, magically speaking. It's like the lives of anyone not already shielded are being sucked away, as soon as they're done with them. I'm not sure if that's the oft-mentioned 'System' or some doing of the Captain, but it's....It's very strange. Ordinarily, the leylines sourced in this many lives, and people, would be enough to make at least a minor node of it, but there's nothing at all. I wager any web I set up would be destroyed in minutes, not that I'm willing to try without a node to anchor it...
