It's a Long Way Home

Content: A reunion of sorts. Not that Ginny thought she'd ever see him again.
The first two weeks back at Hogwarts were an adjustment. No family, no Harry, no Dumbledore. Everything was like a regime. No more Gryffindor Tower. No more Common Room. Everything was so different and so wrong. But she refused to give up hope. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were out there fighting for them, and she wouldn't let them down. She wouldn't let the Order down.
She'd talked to Neville, and the two were trying to figure a way to start up some sort of underground. A Weasley would not take this lying down. Ginny Weasley wasn't going to let Snape, a Death Eater, rule over Hogwarts untouched.
But things had to go on. She went to her classes, tried to learn the garbage they were enforcing. But she found herself more and more often in the library or alone in an abandoned castle. The whole school was upside down. This night she decided to take the long way back, slipping through the halls silently. It was probably a half hour after curfew, but she knew a few shortcuts to bypass the main halls.
