Ring of Fire, Classical Music, and Terrified Squirrels (to the Face).

On Wednesday I helped a friend take down a tree.  When I got home Tim treated a bunch of the Boyz and I to wings and beer at Duff's.  I had a bet going with Christoph about whether or not I could eat 6 of the Armageddon wings (their hottest at 850,000 Scoville Heat Units).  I won the bet (although not with out sweat, tears, and a lot of chocolate milk).  I collect my winnings at a date to be determined.

On Thursday I picked up two tickets to the symphony.  The TSO has a great program called TSoundCheck.  If you're between 15 and 29 you can buy tickets for only $12.  I made some random calls looking for someone to go with, Estrella took me up on it.  The music was good, Mahler's No. 3 with a singer and two choirs.  After that we went across the street to Big Daddy's because I was starving (I hadn't had dinner before I left).

On Friday Edwin gave me a call to help with a squirrel problem he's been having at his house.  This ended up involving terrified squirrels rushing at my face, trying to skydive, and clawing at my shirt.  All while I'm perched on a ladder 25 feet in the air above a hard driveway.  This was most neither the most fun activity I've ever done, nor the smartest (but by the same token I have done stupider things).  After the squirrels were evicted I covered over the whole with some flashing.

And at the moment I'm waiting for Christoph to get back from Ottawa so I can catch a ride to the farm with him and work at the Canadian Chef's Congress.  Skydiving plans are set for next week.  If you want to go skydiving on Sept 27th, at 2:00pm then drop me a line.  Cost will be $300 or less.
