Don't ask me why I have Spring Break so early, because it's dumb. All my friends have their Spring Breaks in subsequent weeks, so it really is no fun:P

Handwriting is disappearing?
I honestly still love writing by hand. It's cathartic and it's great to see your hand actually writing down your thoughts and stuff:P And although it can be a hassle to write fic down and then type it, it really helps with the revision process, because it's the second look over:)
And seriously, I can't believe people who aren't in school wouldn't simply just stop writing by hand...but maybe that's just the writer in me that is appalled by that, haha:P

My teachers seems gung-ho about my paper topics, so I must be on the right track somewhere:P
Anyways, for research methods, we were talking about correlational studies, and how it's not a true experiment, because there is no manipulation done on anything.
Well, she's also saying that the correlation coefficient isn't quite accurate in indicating a relationship between subjects either, and it's better to look at the scatter plot. But, even then, correlational studies are not really that great, except for comparing two things.
The example she used was ice cream and drowning, and apparently it's a positive correlation! But, how does ice cream have anything to do with drowning? One cannot simply cause/relate the other: As the amount of ice cream consumed, so is the likelihood of drowning? As the amount of drowning goes up so is the likelihood of eating ice cream??? I think not!
Correlational studies leave too many outside factors, extraneous variables that are unaccounted for:) That third factor within this example, is heat:D
