OH YES BABY-OBAMA SUSHI!
I want some of that :)
It's ridiculously amazing:D
Original article
HEREI've mentioned Koicih-san before, but that's his website-Tofugu.com:)
I don't remember what video I saw it from, but when KAT-TUN was promoting "White X'mas," even Jin mentioned Obama as the most interesting/important thing to happen in 2008, lol...just saying:P
This came out of my Clinical Psychology textbook...lol. UM-Richard Anderson?? I wrote in Dean, because RDA is so much betterlooking:) Stargate and Macgyver fans, anyone? :P
This was an example of what a possible psychologists' office could look like...but UM-the skull? haha-I wrote in Bob, but you can't see it. Dresden Files fan, anyone? :P
Speaking of RDA and Stargate-this was one of my snapshot ads:)
Belt bucklet + gum=half way to building a nuclear reactor, darling:P
Some drama musings:
Long Love Letter- Originally, I started watching this during the 'getting to know J-fandom and watch everything Yamapi is in' phase, like-last year:) I loved his characters from "Stand Up!" and "Nobuta wo Produce," so I wanted to watch everything else. "Kurosagi" was totally darker than anything he's ever done, but then again, he really was just cosplaying in that show:P
Anyways-the title of this show threw me off. I admit that I judge what I'll watch by their drama promotion pictures and titles, but this drama threw me for a loop! There is a love story involved in it, but the actual 'love letter' is something entirely different.
Basically, what I got from the show was that we must love the Earth in the present, because we'll never know how the future will turn out. And the long love letter is basically the consequences of how we treat Mother Nature...or something:P
I'm glad the series ended the way it did, though, because the idea of being stranded was just a little too angsty for me...the drama definitely needed more 'light' elements to compensate for the message. At times, for some reason, I felt as if it was like "The Grapes of Wrath." sheesh.
BUT-overall, I enjoyed it. Definitely an indie sort of drama. The leads were extraordinary! And I love how each character had a role, and had screen time:)
The thought process behind this show was quite interesting too. And to think that evolution could go backwards when mankind is desperate...wow. Never would have thought about that. And I liked how this show wasn't afraid to let some of its characters die. It is a part of life, and even though they were just high schoolers, I liked that the producers knew that this situation couldn't just be all dandy and stuff.
I actually finally resumed watching this because Ichihara Hayato (Aniya) was listed as a cast member...but was disappointed, because only saw half a shot of him...and I'm pretty sure they wrote his character out. I don't blame them though, there were too many people to keep track of.
Suzuki Emi was in this too, and she looked nothing like her character in Yukan club; I prefer her look here:)
Dance Drill
Gosh-Now that there's "Mei-chan no Shitsuji," I felt obligated to finish Nana's earlier work, "Dance Drill." I started watching it with the intention of getting to know Massu's acting style. Well, now there's "Rescue," which I haven't watched yet, because it's slow being subbed, so I'll just wait till the end. Anyways-I never realized how connected everything was, until now, because I've been in the fandom for a year now, lol:P
A bunch of people in here I know from other things (but won't list cuz it's really irrelevant)...but one important people I do have to mention is Taichi-senpai (TOKIO):P He plays the teacher...who's originally interested in train models, and is apparently the son of a famous dance instructor...or something.
Anyways-just had to laugh at the fact that Massu's character, Carlos San....is Brazilian-Japanese, LMAO! In any case, he's very spaztic and cute and likes food and cheers very well:)
Well, he doesn't actually cheer with the girls, but he cheers for Nana's character, Kaname:P (which would segue nicely into my "Vampire Knight" part)
I'm glad the girls had a good ending, and I'm seriously envious of their unison-dancing skills. Makes me think, even if the drama was C-rate, DAMN-they practiced a lot:) And the bonds they created at the end were just touching, really:) And I loved that Taichi, who I didn't really notice before, because I had never heard of SCP lol, is now like a super amazing sensei:P
I love when sempai-kouhai of Johnny's work together:P
Vampire Knight:Guilty
Since there's been so many adaptations from anime to live action....perhaps there should be something on this:P
For some reason, Oguri Shun seems like the right person to cast for Kaname Kuran. Just the way he portrayed Rui in HYD, the aloof, gentle, protective nature makes me want to cast him as the lead;P There's a whole debate on who should be what, and stuff, but I'll let the casting directors do their job:P
Anyways- I really love this show, even if it's over dramatic at times and there's so many cliff-hangers...but the last battle felt anti-climatic to me...
I mean, I understand the whole build up to it was necessary, and I get that from Kaname's perspective, but to the viewer (or maybe because I was watching it straight through, rather than in weeks while the anticipation could grow), it felt like, wow-he's not such a baddie after all:P
And I don't want to spoil you too much, but I kind of like Kaname and Yuuki's relationship the way it has become. And although I want Yuuki and Zero together too, it's just not possible. The twist was definitely interesting though. And this entire time, all I wanted to be was Yuuki:)
I swear this freaking show spurned my dream about missing Dave *sigh*
But, maybe it's just me, but I finally noticed all of the Night Class' roles this time around. I could actually identify people and their names and what kind of character they were; I liked that;)
OMG-and the opening theme song. The more I hear ON/OFF, the more I love them:P
"Rondo"<3 Have to say that the more I hear themes that play during dramas, the more I like them. At least, I know I might not like them as much otherwise:P
