It hasn't been a really weird day persay, just an interesting night. It was one of my first nights back at the Customer Service desk after about a week of cashiering and I was just getting situated with what I needed to know today. For example: the lottery is now $47million and I would have to deal with crazy people who want a chance to win;p
Just then, the phone rang so I answered it.
"Thanks for calling Publix Supermarket, Anna speaking, how can I help you?"
"Yeah, can I take your temperature with a rectal thermometer?"
I hung up.
He called back another time and we informed a manager, but they hung up before the manager could get to the phone:/
Tell me that isn't weird or interesting;p
And that's not the only weird call we've gotten.
Sometimes, when we're counting money in the back, someone calls and talks about how his daughter has had a fever and if we knew anything about taking rectal temperatures. You don't call a food supermarket to ask that!
There were also several times where they asked to suck our toes, LOL!
Yeah, we have a clue who that is. We think it's a regular customer who buys a lot of bananas and condoms from us...shyea:s
So, how was your day?
One more thing: I'm so utterly in love with Henry, the vampire, in "Blood Ties." He's probably one of my favorite, most attractive looking vampires I know about. Even taking into account Angel and "Moonlight's" Mick St. John.
Speaking of which, I'm reading "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyers. Sometimes, you've heard so much hype about something you're disappointed, but with this book, it's like you wanna know what's the big hype, how's this vampire book different from others that are ever so disappointing:)
