Stargate, indeed, pushed daisies. But then again, that's what Jack said in 'The Lost City part 2,' and look he's still alive:) Stargate will live on! There would be no 'goodnight my someone, goodnight.'
I just remembered what Chris Judge said about 'Heroes' being everything that encapsulated Stargate, and it's true. It's got the politics, the mystery of what this stargate program is to others, and emotions. In other words, it's got logos, pathos, and ethos, lol. And really, this was a great eppy. It was actually the memorable episode that drew me to this show. In 2003, I was merely watching it on Saturdays to pass the time, but then I saw the angst between Jack and Sam in 'Heroes, part 2,' and it sold me. I mean, it really changed my life. I mean, it might be a little over the top, but it was my escape. I was so unhappy during high school, I contemplated suicide a few times. And Stargate turned my life around; it made me happy, and I've been obsessed ever since:)
The new series on ABC called Pushing Daisies is really cute! I find it a quirky way of solving murders and such. I love the dialogue and its execution, hard to describe. But my favorite line, let me set it up: Basically, the main character has just resurrected his childhood sweethart and he can't let her go...so he lets the minute pass (the amount of time he's allowed to let the dead 'live' before he has to let them go).
"So, how does this thing work anyway?"
"Um, idk, some random proximity thing."
"Bitch, I was in proximity!"
:P
I was recently reminded of Will and Grace, and I wanted to see the finale again.
SPOILER: I love how their children got married;p
And recently, I've just been dying to watch Jason Dohring's acting, so I'm watching bits and pieces of Veronica Mars. I'm actually just wanting some shippyness, so if anyone could recommend some Logan/Veronica goodness, thank you:)
Onto to real life stuff: My assistant store manager, Mr. Porter, reminds me of a blond Paul McGillion; they're both ladies men;p
And one of our pharmacy technicians, Kathy, stopped $419 of groceries from being stolen. She saw the man was walking out with a cart full of diapers, gatorade, and other expensive items, with no such bags in sight, so she stopped the man, "Sir, you're not walking out like that." He insisted that he paid, but she didn't believe him, and thank goodness for that!
