A First for Everything
walkwithheroes recently asked which two people we'd like to see work together for the first time, and I thought it was a very interesting question. It was tough for me to decide, but I've come up with a few selections.
Watabe Atsuro and Tanihara Shosuke -Two of my older actor biases. Watabe plays dark characters really well and it would be awesome to pit Tanihara against him as the ambiguous good guy who used to be friends with the bad guy.
Koide Keisuke and Eita -Two very solid actors, who have acted together before, but I want more prominent roles that relate more to each other. I want them in serious roles, because we all know their goofy sides in Nodame :P
Mizobata Junpei and Hiraoka Yuta -Junon did an interview of them together, which spurred my interest. I think Yuta needs a lead role (that is not a doctor XD) and I could always use more Junpei :)
Suda Masaki and Okada Masaki -The Masaki's, YES. I don't know what kind of plot yet, any ideas?
Seto Koji and Sato Takeru ...that is not related to Kamen Rider. Sure, Wataru has met Ryoutarou already, but I want something different. Takeru has already acted with Hiro (Den-O/Kabuto) and Koji has acted with Yamamoto Yusuke (Kiva/Kabuto), both several times over, so it's time for Kiva/Den-O, two of my favorite Riders. I could say the same with Double, but they are pretty active right now, so who knows, maybe they'll act with someone I had in mind in the future and make my day ^^
Bah, I can't think of any more. Though, I could list several pairs that I'd like to see again, like Shirota Yu/Erika, Ryo Kase/Erika, Nishikido Ryo/Erika, Tomo/Daito, Daito and Yuichi, Kiritani Kenta/Okada Masaki/Oizumi Yo.
Pairing-wise, I didn't really think of anything concrete. I like rare pairs to an extent, so I could just list two opposite actor/actress together, but it's still hard for me to imagine anyone with anyone. I think it is because I follow more actors than actresses that I can't really find enough ladies to go with the male leads I've picked. There are also pairings that I didn't know I wanted until they appear to me. And so, this segues into my next topic, because I never would have imagined pairing Kiriyama Renn with Kobayashi Ryoko, but it totally works.
Today, Renn announced that he's going to be in a new movie called Run 60 and he posted the Official Site and whoa, this banner:
Here's "Section 0," the 10-minute preview of the movie. Below is one of five (if I read Renn's blog correctly) PVs that will be associated with the movie, and I think it has a pretty nice run-down of what's going to be featured in the movie, like an extended preview with music :)
When I first saw Renn's hair, I was a little skeptical about its color, but now that I see it in the golden rays of the setting sun, it's gorgeous. I can't wait to see this movie in HD *__*
