Day 3: Upcoming Season Line-up
Day 03 → Your favorite new drama (this season)
Playful/Mischievous Kiss -it's the Korean version of Itazura na Kiss and It Started With a Kiss starring Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min. Joong played the Korean version of Hanazawa Rui in Boys Over Flowers, and his acting has improved since.
So Min is adorable and reminds me of a cross between Wakana (from KRW) and Yoon Eun Hye (Coffee Prince, Goong). For someone who hasn't had much exposure in the drama scene yet, she is super cute and her acting is very good.
The Koreans always outdo the rest when it comes to remakes imho, so needless to say, this drama is excellent and fun :D
As walkwithheroes has said, the progression of the unrequited love story is well-paced, seeing as it only has 16 episodes, opposed to the 9 and 24 of the Japanese and Taiwanese version, respectively. Oh Ha Ni (Xiang Qin/Kotoko) is not portrayed as mind-numbingly dumb, which helps with the potential annoyance factor of such characters. Baek Seung Jo (Zhi Shu/Naoki) is not entirely cold, and therefore more likable.
This is hilarious! An exhibitionist appears! In the beginning of that ep, we see a random guy hiding in the bushes. Seung Jo has a bad feeling about Ha Ni walking home along at night, so he goes out to 'buy something' and finds her being confronted by the creeper. She was actually negotiating with the guy to give her shoe back if she looked at him XD
But of course, Seung Jo to the rescue and turns her around in a very affectionate move. Of course, he denies it was anything sentimental, just going out 'to buy something.'
And a scene where Ha Ni shows Seung Jo what she's good at: identifying all the members of SuJu. At the time, HanGeng was still in the picture, aww ♥
Since the new drama season is just about to start, I'll talk about the line up that I might be interested in watching as well.
Juui Dolittle -Oguri Shun, Narimiya Hiroki, Inoue Maou w/ guest stars of Masuda Takahisa and Suda Masaki :D
Story-wise, I think this might just be something that's easy-going and not something I'll be truly interested in.
Q10 -Sato Takeru and Maeda Atsuko.
It's a robot!love story. I don't know how I feel about it...but hopefully it's cute.
Nagareboshi -Ueto Aya, Matsuda Shota, Kitano Kii w/ first episode guest star of Daito Shunsuke.
Potential to be an awesome love story :) Makes me think back to all those plots about marriage out of convenience and then blossoming into true love. I'm a sucker for this stuff ^^
Freeter, Ie o Kau -Ninomiya Kazunari, Maruyama Ryouhei
Watching for the cast, the story doesn't seem very appealing to me.
Guilty Akuma to Keiyakushita Onna -Kanno Miho, Tamaki Hiroshi.
Definitely must watch from the looks of the summary. Kanno Miho plays a criminal who didn't really commit the crime and comes out of jail 12 years later seeking revenge, lol. I love her, thanks to ginzarhapsody, so I can't wait to see what she does this time :)
Keizoku 2: SPEC -Erika Toda and Ryo Kase w/ supporting cast of Kamiki Ryunosuke.
Looks like it'll be slightly dark and quirky. I adore Erika and I think this is going to turn out something like BOSS. I've always thought Ryo Kase was a solid actor in movies, so I'll be interested to see how he does drama-wise :)
Reinoryokusha Odagiri Kyoko no Uso -Ishihara Satomi and Tanihara Shosuke.
I'm obviously watching this for Tanihara-san, and it's got a ridiculous premise so I don't know how much I can stand of it. Something to do with a fake fortune teller...I'll give it a try since I don't know much about it yet XD
Ogon no Buta -Shinohara Ryoko and Okada Masaki w/ supporting cast Kiritani Kenta.
Looks like another detective story. Hopefully has a continuing storyline underneath the episodic formula.
Okay- that's a lot and there's no way I'll keep that up, because I'll be tempted to watch past seasons' dramas, but this is a start, lol.
