LIVE ♥
I had to jump on getting NEWS' "LIVE" immediately, because once a fangirl, always a fangirl. I may have not talked about my love for NEWS or Kanjani8 very much recently, but it's still very much a part of me :)
Endless Summer is the perfect sequel to Summer Time. My favorite song off this entire album. This is what I have been waiting for...this is what I expected to be a single, because it's just an awesome pop/ballad. The vocals are solid, the chorus is catchy, the melody is up-beat, and the lyrics move me...it just hits the spot!

やがて僕らがありふれた大人になっても
扉はいつも きっと あの夏に繋がっているから ♥
2人/130000000の奇跡 just plays straight to the romantic in me. I've always thought, "isn't it amazing how the two of us ended up liking each other out of so many other people in this world?" -that's exactly what this song is about and it's got a lovely melody; just exactly what I needed and the perfect type of song that makes me think, "Ah, this is NEWS."
内容の無い手紙 I don't think I've heard this kind of effective r&b ballad from them, so I'm really liking it. Reminds me a little of Hilcrhyme so that's a bonus ;)
恋のABO and Be Funky have never really had that much of an impact on me, so I'll just leave those aside. We've obviously heard Sakura Girl, Forever and Share, though I really like having a clear version of the latter. The unplugged version of Forever is ok, but I could do without, or with another new song XD
秋の空, 生まれし君へ, and D.T.F are solid songs that I enjoy :)
No other real comments, though I haven't listened to them as much.
On a general note, I think low notes/keys suit Shige so much more than high ones. I'd want to hear him sing a NEWS song all by himself, because whenever I listen to the chorus, sometimes, I can hardly hear him, and I worry that he's straining his voice to reach the notes. Yamapi does it on a regular basis too, but he's had more practice XD The other members are better at falsettos ^^
Other songs that I think would have to grow on me are Dacin'in the Secret, Supernatural, and Wonderland.
LIVE The title song! GReeeeN's JIN wrote this and it is indeed very upbeat and catchy. The chorus is a little...off for me, because the music has a fast tempo, but the words are dragged out, which only means that it's not matching the tempo imho. Other than that, it's got a lite punk-rockish feel to it and suits NEWS. I'm a little disappointed it's not the "to live" LIVE, (unless I heard wrong) :P
I can totally see this being an encore or the ending track on a concert line-up :D
