day 24--> whatever tickles your fancy: Halfway

It's truly halfway. I noticed that there were a lot of mundane scenes of them just sitting or standing together like this, with further distance between each other than really necessary or normal.

The scene near the end where both are studying and she quizzes him on his English. What's the definition of tochuu and she's like it begins with a 'H' and ends with a 'Y.' That was just beautiful to me :) And I mean, like the Colbie Calait lyrics say, "if you meet me halfway, it could be the same for us." And it really does take two people to meet in the middle to be in a fair relationship. Such a cute movie!

There were also quite random parts involving Mizobata Junpei, which was cute! And then Narimiya Hiroki being a teacher. Very interesting indeed :D

Osawa Takao; freaking love this man :D
I loved how he was describing the guy's POV when in love. He says they are generally selfish and will do whatever they want, so when they change their mind about something, especially when a girl is involved, they must really care about you. AW~

One of my favorite scenes from the movie was between Osawa and Kitano. She's basically going to him as a student and asking advice about 'her friend' whose b/f has agreed to not go to Tokyo for college just because she wants him to stay. I love the way Osawa kind of describes the possible outcome, that if the b/f did go to Tokyo and came back a better man for it, 'the friend' would be happier in the relationship than making him stay. So, rather than telling her straight out that she should let him go, he described an imaginary future making her see the tangible possibilities. I don't know how to describe it, but it was really effective and the scene was just nice :)
And Osawa's a calligraphy teacher so he's like, "let your hand write what your heart is telling you. Let whatever comes to mind flow into your pen."
She ends up writing ike!, which is lovely. She wants her boyfriend to be happy too ^^

I sometimes love that Japanese films take care to shoot long shots and capture mundane moments in life. Like the scenes where we can only see the couple from afar; it's giving us a true observer's point of view. If we were just passerbys who came about this story, we couldn't possibly see their close ups. Instead, though we know the story, we can only see it from a distance. I don't know, I just think it's poetic and pretty ♥

day 25--> your day in great detail
~ Woke up at 10:30am to say "Merry Christmas" to my mom as she leaves for work. Was going to drive her to work because it was raining, but it had stopped, so she just walked to work.
~ Went back to bed till 1PM, but didn't really sleep.
~ Went online, did the usual, check email and LJ and stuff.
~ My mom's friend came over to drop a package off. I went back to my computer.
~ Watched the raw upload of Liar Game 2 ep 7 and realized that Katsuragi is the best possible made up surname for this villain. Katsu is to win, uragi is to betray, combine those two together and you get the Liar Game! :D
~ Watched the last episode of JIN and I really hope that there's a SP :)
~ Read yey_yey's Panacea
~ Watched some videos from YouTuber, Nerimon, and laughed:)
~ Made some ramen as a treat to myself and had some Advil and coffee to kill the migraine that I had been having the whole day.
~ Watched the "The Goop on the Girl" episode of "Bones," which was really the Christmas episode :D
~ Typed up this post, though the day's not over :P
~ Won't open presents until Monday ^^
~ Was searching for w-inds' stuff on YouTube and totally ended up watching music videos of older pop songs like "This I Promise You" by N'Sync and "At the Beginning" from the Anastasia movie :P
~ Played several games of Scrabble on pogo.com :D

Happy Christmas all!
Hope everyone had a good day ♥
