My dad had a heart attack on Saturday. He went home yesterday.
He seems to be picking up where my grandpa left off. My grandpa had his first when he was 62 and he just died, and now my dad is 63. It seems like the timing makes sense.
I hope he lives for a lot more years, and I hope I can stop being one of his major stress inducers.
I hope he stops having major stress inducers.

I start my practicum on February 7th at Lincoln High. They didn't have enough Spanish slots so I'm going to be working with an art teacher. That's good though. Does anyone know the teacher Shawn Stokes?

I'm hoping that when I graduate my resume looks good enough, teacherly enough, spanishly enough. Maybe I should start volunteering at the Hispanic Center again, or the Literacy Council, or something where Spanish speakers hang out.

Park Teen Center definitely has a lot of Spanish speaking kids. That will help me. I'm having a hell of a time learning their names though, which makes me feel like not a very good employee. In a classroom situation, its easy. In a room full of 100 12 year old crazies running around, its harder.

Last night was marriage counseling session number two. We did another survey, but we couldn't share answers. Of course when we left, we asked eachother what we put down for a lot of the questions. Silly surveys. We also have to read a book called "a good start" or something to that effect and then talk about it next session.

Etcetera.
