Congrats to everyone involved in Last Friends, in particular Juri, who played our beloved Ruka! ^__^

That said, I think Amami Yuki should've won Best actress instead of Nakama Yukie and Eita deserves Best supporting actor much more than Nishikido Ryo. Oh well, yet another unsung hero performance from Eita.

i totally agree with the eita over ryo part! eita was sooo good as takeru and ryo was epic fail at dv.

Did Nakama Yukie won for her previous 2 times as Yankumi? If she did, it's really kinda getting old...^^; I would prefer Amami Yuki too. The role in Around 40...kinda underused her full acting capabilities though. But I guess something like the awesomeness of Jyoou no kyoshitsu would be hard to top.

She did in fact win 2 times already as Yankumi and this will be her third win. *_* It's quite baffling how they're awarding her for repeating a popular performance. The first win for Gokusen is fine by me, but to keep winning she'd have to put something new on the table...add more dimensions to Yankumi, which she hasn't. It's the same formula. Imagine Bruce Willis winning best actor for Die Hard 1, 2, 3 & 4....lol. I like Nakama Yukie, she's very entertaining as Yankumi but by no means deserving of 3 best actress awards for Gokusen. The Drama Academy has just lost a bit of credibility in my eyes.

I've only seen the first Gokusen so I don't know how it is in the 2nd and 3rd one. But I agree that she needs to put something different into the character and not just stick with the 'don't fix what's not broken' formula. We need to see a character grow. Even Juri said that for Nodame SP she played the first and second part with a different feeling. She's aware that Nodame as a character needs to grow and her acting needs to adapt to that. For me, I can really see the gradual transformation even though the SP is a 4/5 hour show and not a full length series. I guess that's the difference between good and brilliant.
